Wings Your Dreams – Season 2: A Journey of Hope and Sharing

Some trips last only a day, but the memories linger for a long time afterward.

For DATA Group, the “Wings Your Dreams – Season 2, 2026” journey in Son Dien commune was one such day – where gifts were given, smiles were shared, and small dreams were given the motivation to grow.

Morning: Gift Distribution at Son Dien Ethnic Boarding Secondary School

The program began at Son Dien Ethnic Boarding Secondary School. The DATA team, along with teachers and representatives from the Commune Committee, arrived early to prepare.

Afterward, more than 120 students from kindergarten, primary, and secondary levels, along with their parents, also arrived at the school as invited.

In Son Dien, there is currently no high school, so after finishing junior high school, the children face two choices: go to Di Linh to continue their education, which means being far from home and becoming independent, or drop out to help their families?

A special part of the program is the “Dream Tree.” On the small cards are countless things the children wish for in the future: some dream of becoming doctors, teachers, or engineers; others simply wish for more books, a bicycle, or to work in agriculture like their parents. These are simple dreams, but some children have never thought of them or couldn’t think of them, so they had to ask the older children for suggestions and guidance.

The schoolyard atmosphere becomes bustling with exchange activities, games and small gifts. In addition, the children also received gifts to prepare for the new school year – such as backpacks, notebooks and school supplies. DATA brothers and sisters tried to organize it early to get the students excited for the new school year 2026 – 2027.

Afternoon: Visiting Homes, Listening to Stories

Following the school program, the delegation continued its visits to homes and awarded scholarships to 20 students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Son Dien commune.

Each home presented a different story. Some families faced hardship, had many siblings, and required encouragement from the school and local authorities. The delegation spent time talking, listening, and personally delivering gifts and words of encouragement to each family.

One journey ends, but many more hopes open up.

“Wings Your Dreams – Season 2” has come to an end, but the innocent smiles, shy glances, words of gratitude, and stories from Son Dien will surely remain in the memories of every participant for a long time.
